Offer checker
Is my Dubai job offer good?
Basic salary, allowances and the monthly cost of the area you would live in. One band, a breakdown and three things to ask for.
Quick answer
A Dubai offer is only as good as what it leaves after rent in the area you named, DEWA, school fees and insurance. This free checker sets your basic salary and allowances against sourced monthly ranges and returns one of four bands: Strong, Fair, Below market or Hard to live on. It is an estimate, not a pay survey.
Questions people ask first
What is a good Dubai salary for a single person?
There is no one number. The cost of living guide, last checked 25 August 2026, puts a single professional at about AED 7,000 to 10,000 a month on a budget lifestyle and AED 15,000 to 25,000 for a comfortable month, rent included. This checker applies your package to one area's rent range plus DEWA, food, transport and insurance, then names the band.
What is a good Dubai salary for a couple or a family?
The same cost of living guide puts families at about AED 25,000 to 40,000 a month, and more when schooling and a premium neighbourhood are in the mix. School fees are the line that moves the band. Pick a fee example from schools whose 2026-27 schedules were checked on 11 October 2026.
What allowances are normal in a Dubai package?
Housing, transport, schooling and an annual flight are the splits this checker asks for. What is normal depends on the employer. The split matters because end-of-service gratuity under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 accrues on basic salary, not on the total.
Should I compare basic salary or the total package?
Basic salary is the figure gratuity uses. Total monthly pay here is basic plus housing, transport and other allowances, plus flights and schooling spread over 12 months. That total is what the checker sets against the cost range. A high total with a low basic can look comfortable month to month and still produce a small end-of-service estimate.
How the bands and ranges are built is on the methodology page.
